Description
Nos 3 and 4 Bryn Eglwys in Llandygai are a pair of estate cottages, each designed as single-storey buildings with a two-room layout and a loft, aligned east-west. They are constructed from regularly coursed and dressed rubblestone blocks, with the left gable end painted and the right rendered, topped with a slate roof. Each cottage features a mirrored arrangement of two- and three-light windows, complete with slate cills and voussoirs above slightly cambered heads, positioned on either side of central entrances. The entrance to No. 3 has a 20th-century half-glazed door, while No. 4 has been altered to include a 20th-century window in boarded infill. Both cottages have integral end stacks, and a larger shared stack is located at the center. Gable end windows provide light to the lofts. Notably, No. 3 has been significantly extended at the rear. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
