Description
The Cowhouse and Stables at Pen-y-llyn are two rectangular buildings aligned north-south. The larger building to the east was originally built as a cowhouse, while the smaller building to the west served as stables. Both structures are constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone with quoins and feature slate roofs, each having slate slab coping on the south gable end. The cowhouse includes a boarded door in the west wall and a hay-loft opening above the doorway in the north gable end. The stables have a doorway in the east wall, and both buildings have no openings on their south gable ends. There is a 20th-century outbuilding attached to the north gable end of the stables. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
