Description
Nos 1 and 2 Bryn Eglwys in Llandygai are a pair of estate cottages, each designed as a single-storey building with a two-room layout and a loft, aligned east-west. They are constructed from regularly coursed and dressed rubblestone blocks, with the gable ends rendered, and feature a slate roof. Each cottage has a mirrored arrangement of two- and three-light windows, complete with slate sills and voussoirs above slightly cambered heads, positioned on either side of central entrances. The left cottage (No. 1) has a 20th-century four-panel door, while the right cottage (No. 2) has a 20th-century boarded door with a glazed panel. Both cottages have integral end stacks and a larger shared stack in the center, with gable end windows providing light to the lofts. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
