Description

Pont Rhyd-y-benllig is a bridge featuring a wide single arch span constructed from flush rubble stones. The flush spandrels rise to a string course at the base of the parapet, which is rendered on the outside and topped with long cut rubble copings. The arch begins just above the water line, spanning 19.2 meters and rising to 6.05 meters above the water. The road measures 6 meters in width between the 50-centimeter parapets, which are slightly peaked in the center. Large pilaster buttresses are present at both ends of the bridge.
