Description
The Memorial Garden at Bryn Awelon is partially enclosed on three sides by a roughly coursed and squared rubble wall, approximately 2 meters high, which forms the boundary with Lon Fel on the west side. The garden is accessed from the north by a wrought iron gate, flanked by rough stone ball finials. There is a pair of similar gates on the south side, but no wall exists on that side. The eastern boundary features a stone wall that steps in height, and there is a stone bench located at the angle of the north and east sides. The garden is divided into two sections by a change of level, with a raised bed surrounding a tree where the levels change. The decorative cobbled surface is inlaid with stones and tiles that represent various astronomical signs and symbols, and there is a pool in the lower section.
