Description
The garden walls to Nantclwyd House are constructed of rubble stone and vary in height. On the south side, the wall reaches up to 4 meters high next to the house, although it was temporarily reduced at the time of the survey. The external side of the wall, which faces into the courtyard of Bron y Gaer, features a former doorway that has been infilled with brick. To the right, the wall steps back and includes an infilled lean-to in the angle. It continues at approximately 2.5 meters in height, topped with flat stone coping and a coped offset that steps down towards the west. In the southwest angle, there is a 20th-century stone garden feature. Along the west side, the wall steps down and is broken towards the center to provide access to the former Lord's garden. In the northwest angle, the west and north walls connect to a gazebo. The north wall of the garden stands around 2 meters high and has concrete coping, featuring an entrance to the right and another entrance cut into the far right, adjacent to the house.
