Description
The gazebo located at the rear of Nantclwyd House is a tall, square-plan, two-storey structure with one window. The lower storey is constructed of rubble stone, while the upper storey features small-scantling timber-framing with brick infill. The exterior was formerly roughcast, but this finish is now partly missing. The gazebo has a hipped swept slate roof with a moulded wooden eaves cornice and a wooden finial, along with a lateral brick stack on the northwest side.
Access to the first floor is provided by a flight of external stone steps leading up from the east side to a concrete platform. There is a doorway in a moulded frame that is boarded over. On the west side, the upper lights of a wooden cross-window with diamond quarries are present, but the lower lights are also boarded over. The remaining windows are boarded over as well; on the north side, they are accessible from the concrete platform, and on the south side, they are located at both ground and first floor levels. To the right of the latter, beneath the staircase block, there is a boarded doorway. Additionally, on the ground floor against the west side, there is a stone lean-to covered by a corrugated iron roof, which has a boarded doorway facing south.
The interior has not been inspected.
