Description
The agricultural range at Cynlas Fawr is a Grade II listed building consisting of two main sections. The main block features a stable and hayloft, with an incorporated barn beyond, while to the right is a lower, single-storey cowhouse. The structure is built from roughly-squared and roughly-coursed slatestone blocks, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof for the main section and slates for the lower section.
The main block has two entrances on the left side, each with boarded doors, and two small square windows, one of which is located under the eaves. On the right side, there is a tall barn entrance with a stable-type door and a similar upper window at the far right, along with vent slits. The rear of this section features stone steps leading to an upper boarded door within a frame, and there is a brick catslide lean-to attached.
The lower section includes three entrances, with the first and third having square windows to the right, while the central entrance is larger and has an incorporated window to the left. A wooden lean-to with boarded doors is attached to the right gable end. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
