Description
The former chapel and manse at Cefn-ddwysarn is a building constructed from slatestone rubble, featuring a rendered northwest (rear) elevation and southwest gable. It has a continuous slate roof with skylights in the manse section, including one at the front and two at the rear. The manse has later 19th-century red brick end chimneys that have simple cornicing.
The chapel section features a central entrance with a recessed boarded and framed door. On either side of the entrance are 12-pane unhorned sash windows that have projecting slate sills and plain rendered architraves. The manse section has similar, but smaller, paired entrances at the center, with windows on the ground and first floors to the right and left. The ground-floor left window is a small-paned sash, while the other windows are later 4-pane sashes. The upper-floor windows break the eaves and are set within gabled dormers that have plain bargeboards. The rear elevation mirrors the window arrangement of the facade, though in reverse. Additionally, there is a small plain-glazed light to the left of the 12-pane sash in the manse section.
The interior was not inspected during the survey.
