Description
The Football and Cricketers Arms is a three-storey and attic tenement building dating from around 1800, located at 115 High Street in Linlithgow. The ground floor houses licensed premises and the north elevation is rendered and painted.
On the north elevation, the entrance features four asymmetrical bays at the ground level, with a door on the outer right and three windows to the left. The first and second floors have regular fenestration, with the windows on the second floor being slightly smaller.
The south elevation includes a turnpike stair located at the center. The ground floor has modern windows, while the first floor features 12-pane sash and case windows. The upper storey has plate glass windows, and there is an original etched glass window depicting a footballer facing Dogwell Wynd. Additionally, there is figurative leaded glass from 1991. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes a canted slate-hung piended dormer on the off-center left, along with a rooflight on the right.
