Description
This is a bridge located on Helenslee Road in Dumbarton, likely built in the mid-19th century. It features a single round arch that carries Helenslee Road over the former drive to Kirkton quarry. The bridge is constructed from bullfaced ashlar and voussoirs, and it was widened to the west later in the century. At the eastern side, there is a decorative cast-iron balustrade over a girder, while the western parapet is made of modern brick. Steps at the south end lead down towards Levenford Terrace.
