Description

Lodge built 1884-5. Park opened 26.5.1885. Picturesque,

single storey and attic L-plan lodge. Stuggeed ashlar with

polished dressings; Entrance in re-entrant angle with ogee

arcaded verandah under swept roof. Gable ends with projecting

ground floor windows with applied timber framing and

decorative plaster panel to jettied attic. Substantial

corniced stack over east gable. Projecting eaves, and red

tile roof; decorative ridge tiles. 3 square gatepiers

(originally 4) have shaped caps and ball finials, cast-iron

gates.
