12 Dixon Drive in Dumbarton is a villa built around 1870-1880, likely designed by architect John MacLeod. This asymmetrical two-storey building features stugged ashlar stonework with polished dressings. On the south elevation, the right bay is deeply recessed and contains bipartite windows. The entrance is located in the prominent central bay, featuring a round-arched, moulded door beneath a gabled head, with a bipartite window above that has a relieving arch. The left bay showcases a two-storey canted window, which is corbelled to a square shape at the eaves and topped with an advanced gable. There are string courses between the floors, and the gables are adorned with decorative barge boards. The villa has projecting eaves and a slate roof that is both piended and gabled with finials. Other elevations include single and mullioned windows, with a wing extending to the rear.
