Description

Circa 1960 incorporating 19th century wrought iron panels. 2 pairs of fine, well-detailed gatepiers and gates sited at the E entrance to Candacraig House policies.

OUTER GATES: vehicular entrance with large square-section ashlar piers, each on deep base with carved panels to shaft and reduced flat cope probably base of missing finial. Elegant decorative wrought iron gates.

INNER GATES: pedestrian gateway with square-section ashlar piers on deep base with fielded shaft and cushion cope. E (inner) face with 2 fielded panels divided by horizontal cast bronze panel depicting Bacchanalian scene. 2-leaf decorative ironwork gates.
