Description

The East Gate and boundary walls at Candacraig House, designed by A G R Mackenzie around 1956, serve as an impressive entrance to the estate, located near East Lodge. The gateway features tall, square-section piers made of squared rubble, topped with broken pediments. Flanking the two-leaf ironwork gates are boundary walls that display the Wallace family crest, which depicts an ostrich in full flight, and the Falconer family crest, showing a demi-angel praying between two sprigs of laurel.
