Description

Tempietta, located within the grounds of Candacraig House, was built around 1950 by Ian G Lindsay, with masonry work by Wattie Cooper. This elegant classical structure features columns salvaged from the demolished Altyre House. It is situated to the south of Candacraig House in a formal garden setting. The tempietta has a stepped polygonal base topped with six Doric columns and a polygonal cornice, all constructed from ashlar stone.
