Description
This early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house at 114 High Street, Dunblane, has a rectangular plan and a gabled roof. The exterior is harled with sandstone rubble, featuring ashlar margins around the openings and projecting window sills.
On the northwest (principal) elevation, there are stone steps leading to a timber door set within a framed doorway. To the right of the door is a window, and to the left is a later stone-mullioned, three-light window. The first floor has a regular arrangement of windows.
The southeast (rear) elevation was not visible in 2001, while the northeast (side) elevation is obscured by an adjoining building. The southwest (side) elevation is also obscured at the gable head by a neighboring structure.
The windows are false sash and case, made of timber with plate glass. The roof is covered in grey slates with lead flashing, and the eaves slightly overhang, with barge boarding at the gable ends. Cast-iron rainwater goods are present. The interior was not seen in 2001.
