Description
19-21 Bannatyne Street in Lanark is a two-storey shop building constructed between 1905 and 1906. It features five windows and is built of snecked rubble with a polished ashlar ground floor, along with dressings and quoins. The entrance is located in the right bay, with one window to the left. The shop front is contemporary, featuring a central recessed door flanked by Ionic pilasters that support the fascia and a dentilled cornice. There is a cill course at the first floor level, and the windows have barred architraves. The building has straight skews with moulded skew putts and end stacks, topped by a slate roof. Most of the original internal fittings are still present.
