Description

11 Traill Street in Thurso is a three-storey, two-bay shop with dwellings above, built in the later 19th century. The ground floor features a modern shop front, while the upper sections are constructed of coursed tooled rubble with polished ashlar dressings. The left end has a quadrant bay, and the right bay contains bipartite windows, with each bay marked by channelled ashlar giant pilasters. All windows have shoulder lintels and 4-pane glazing. The building is topped with an exaggerated nailhead moulding at the blocking course, a corniced ridge stack, and a piended slate roof.
