Description
Lauder Ha' is a two-storey house designed by Cullen Lochead & Brown architects and built in 1936. It features a symmetrical layout with three central bays and clasping angle turrets, along with single-storey, three-bay wings. The house is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings and is situated on a slight slope.
The entrance front includes a central portico supported by four rubble-built piers, which hold up a balustrade and is accessed by steps. To the left of the entrance is a recessed door. The first floor has centrally paired windows, and all windows are 12-pane sashes. The turrets have finialed bell cast roofs, and the building has an eaves course and cornice, with corniced end and ridge stacks, topped by a piended slate roof. The flanking wings also feature three windows under piend roofs.
