Description

Lethame House, dated 1813 on the rear wall, is a two-storey building with cellars and features three bays. It is connected by quadrant walls to single-storey gabled stable wings. The exterior is made of painted rubble with margins. A flight of steps, which is missing a handrail, leads to a central recessed door framed by an architrave, complete with a dentilled cornice and a blocking course. Above the door is a bipartite window, with single windows in the outer bays. There is a continuous band course at the ground level and angle pilasters.

The west elevation includes a central stair window, a date stone, and a re-used datestone from an earlier building on the site, along with single windows in the outer bays, which are broader on the ground floor. The north and south gables each have single windows, and the building features an eaves course, a dentilled cornice, and a blocking course. A central dormer is present, along with two symmetrically placed stacks and a steeply-pitched slate roof.

Single-storey rounded bays project from the north and south, with quadrant walls linking to the stable blocks. These ranges have Y-tracery Gothic windows in the east gable ends. The inner gate-piers are octagonal in plan and decorated with rose and rosette motifs, topped with corniced caps, while the lower outer piers are square in plan, featuring cornices and curved caps.
