Description

Broomgate House, located at 42-44 Broomgate in Lanark, is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house. The exterior features modern dry dash. The central door is framed by a pilastered doorpiece and has deep coved reveals. On either side of the door are windows with moulded earred architraves that are splayed to the cills. The first floor has three windows, all of which retain their original lying-pane glazing. The house is topped with a cornice and blocking course, and it has straight skews with end stacks. The roof is slate.
