Description
140 Maxwellton Avenue and 138 in East Kilbride are late 18th century cottages, featuring two 3-bay, single storey and attic structures. They are constructed of painted rubble and have an eaves course.
On the southwest elevation, there are entrance doors located in the second and fourth bays from the left, with single windows in the other bays. The cottages also have gabled dormer attic windows in the third and fifth bays.
The windows have modern 2-pane glazing. The cottages are topped with a slate roof, which includes short coped stacks at the right gablehead and along the ridge.
