Description
This late 18th century cottage at 144 Maxwellton Avenue in East Kilbride features four bays and is a single storey with an attic. The exterior is made of painted rubble, and there are cornices above all openings, though one over the entrance door is missing.
On the southwest elevation, the entrance door is located in the second bay from the left, with single windows in the other bays. The cottage has three attic dormer windows, including a small central one with bracketed eaves. The windows are 4-pane sash and case style, and the roof is covered with slate.
