Description

Late 19th century. 3-storey tenement on corner site with shop and public house at ground floor. Red sandstone ashlar, stugged and snecked cream sandstone rubble gable, slate roof, terracotta ridge tiles and finials. Channelled and corniced ground floor, moulded cill course to 1st and 2nd floor, corniced wallhead; architraved windows, corniced lintels to 1st floor, plate glass sash and case glazing. 2 shouldered and corniced wallhead stacks rising through eaves, coped stacks elsewhere.

QUARRY STREET ELEVATION: 3-light canted window to 1st and 2nd floor left with panelled apron to 2nd floor and facetted roof, 2 windows to 1st and 2nd floor right, canted bay as left at angle to right.

AVON STREET ELEVATION: single and bipartite window to 1st and 2nd floor left; no 3 Avon Street to right, door, single and bipartite window to ground floor, 2 single windows and bipartite to upper floors.

INTERIOR: Public house only seen, no special features.
