Description

Hamilton Railway Station, located on Quarry Street in Hamilton, was built in the late 19th century for the Caledonian Railway. The former entrance arch to the station is made of cream sandstone ashlar. It features a keystoned round-headed arch supported by channelled piers and has a corniced parapet. To the left, there is a coped wall with a channelled angle pier, and a low coped wall, where the railings have been removed, curves to the far left and terminates with a pyramidal ashlar pier.
