Description
12 Barns Street is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that is part of a terrace. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features an eaves course, cornice, blocking course, and strip quoin on the right side only. The openings have painted margins.
The south elevation, which is the entrance side, has a block-pedimented, corniced, and pilastered doorpiece with a timber door. It includes a three-light letterbox fanlight and a single window directly above it on the first floor, with additional single windows flanking both the ground and first floors.
The house has four-pane timber sash and case windows, a grey slate roof, stone skews, coped stacks, and circular cans on the right side only.
The interior was not seen in 1998.
