Description
18 Barns Street in Ayr is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey and attic house that is part of a terrace. The house features painted render with a base course, eaves course, cornice, and blocking course, along with painted margins around the openings.
On the south elevation, there is a central recessed glazed timber door with a letterbox fanlight above it. A single window is aligned directly above this door on the first floor, with additional single windows flanking both the ground and first floors. The attic has two polygonal piended dormers located at the outer left and right sides.
The windows are plate glass timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes a rooflight, stone skews, coped stacks, and circular cans.
The interior was not seen in 1998.
