30 John Street, Ayr

30 John Street in Ayr is an early 19th century, two-storey, two-bay classical villa with a symmetrical front. The entrance elevation is painted, while the side elevations are made of rubble. It features a base course, a first-floor cill course, an eaves course, a cornice, a blocking course, and strip quoins.

The northeast entrance elevation has a central doorpiece that is double pilastered and corniced, with timber doors and letterbox fanlights. Above, there are two single windows aligned on the first floor, and each outer bay has a single window on both floors.

The southeast side elevation has centrally aligned single windows on the ground and first floors. The villa has modern windows, a slate roof, stone skews, and coped gablehead stacks.

The interiors were not seen in 1999. Additionally, there are central square-plan gatepiers for a mutual entrance gate and a coped boundary wall enclosing the site.
