Description

The burial ground of the Auld Kirk of Ayr features predominantly headstone graves, along with several column and tablet memorials. Many gravestones have been set into the boundary wall. The graves date from the 17th century onwards, with a majority from the 19th century.

The site is enclosed by a coped rubble boundary wall, which includes a wrought-iron lamp standard and a birdcage lantern located near the gateway.
