Description
14 Kirk Port in Ayr is a later 18th century, two-storey and attic, three-bay tenement. The building is constructed of sandstone rubble, with the wing and north elevation finished in painted harl.
The entrance elevation features a timber door at the center, flanked by single windows at the ground floor. The first and attic floors have regular fenestration, with attic windows that break the eaves to create piended dormers. There is a glazed timber door at the ground level leading to an addition on the outer left, along with a small single window at the first floor.
On the north elevation facing Kirk Port, there are single windows on the right side at the ground, first, and attic floors, with the attic window being smaller.
The building predominantly has 12-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate, and features stone skews and coped gablehead stacks.
The interior was not seen in 1998.
