1 Seabank Road, Ayr

1 Seabank Road in Ayr is a classical villa built in the later 19th century. It stands two stories high and features three bays on a corner site. The northern elevation is partly rendered in ashlar, while the eastern elevation is finished with harl. The building has a base course, a cill course at the first floor, a mutulated cornice, and a blocking course on the entrance elevation only. There are labelmoulds above the openings on the entrance elevation.

On the northern (entrance) elevation, there is a central square-headed entrance with a recessed timber door and a letterbox fanlight above it. A single window is aligned above the door on the first floor, with regular fenestration in the flanking bays. The eastern (side) elevation features a timber entrance door on the outer left, also with a letterbox fanlight, and a single window aligned above on the first floor. The two bays to the right have regular fenestration.

The villa has modern glazing and a grey slate roof with coped stacks and both circular and polygonal chimney cans. The interior was not seen in 1998.

The property includes a low coped boundary wall along the entrance elevation, with a pedestrian entrance in the center and a vehicular entrance to the outer right. There are rubble and iron gatepiers at the pedestrian entrance on the eastern elevation, and iron railings are present along the coped wall on the eastern elevation.
