Description

The John Taylor Monument, located in Wallacetown Cemetery on Whitletts Road in Ayr, was erected in 1850. It features a stepped plinth and an egg and dart frieze, with a figure of John Taylor positioned on top, facing west. There is an inscription on the west face of the monument. Surrounding the statue is a low coped boundary wall topped with iron railings.
