Description
The Taylor Monument is a chest tomb located about 3 meters south of the south-west tower buttress in the churchyard of the Church of St. Lawrence. It was erected for John Taylor in the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The monument features a moulded plinth and capping with a plain frieze. It has a two-stepped tent top with straight edges. The end panels display an incised rectangular panel with a projecting semi-circular section at the top. The sides have plain rectangular panels flanked by fluted strips. The inscriptions on the monument are only partially decipherable.
