Description
The summerhouse, located to the west of Church House, is a small garden pavilion built in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond with stone dressings and features a double Roman tile pitched roof that is set behind a tall brick pediment. This pediment is adorned with a moulded stone cornice, an entablature, and a ball finial. The main facade faces east and is set on a stone plinth, showcasing alternating chamfered quoins. There is a Palladian opening that leads up three steps, flanked by open oak grilles with geometric patterns on each side light. The interior is notable for its plastered depressed tunnel vault.
