Description
The Post Office is a semi-detached house that includes a post office and shop on the ground floor. It is possibly from the late 17th century or early 18th century. The building is made of coursed rubble stone and features large flush quoins on the left side. It has a stone slate roof with a stone stack at the left end. The structure has a double range of two storeys, with a later rear range and additional rear extensions that are not of special interest. The front has two windows, which are 12-pane sashes set in moulded stone surrounds. On the ground floor, there is a small canted 19th-century oriel plate glass shop window on the left and a double fronted shop window on the right, which has a central glazed door.
