Description
This is a late 18th century corner cottage, situated on the east side of Market Place in Lechlade, and adjacent to Church Cottage. The front is roughcast, with a brick side, resting on a stone plinth, and covered by a concrete tile roof. A brick stack is at the rear. The cottage is a single range with a rear extension, featuring two windows on each storey. These are 12-pane sashes set within moulded wooden architraves; the top left-hand window is designed to resemble, but is not a true sash window. A single 12-pane sash window is located to the right at ground level. The entrance features a wooden doorcase with an open dentil pediment supported by fluted consoles, a moulded wooden architrave, and a recessed door with the top two panes glazed and the lower four fielded.
