Description
Normanhurst is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay villa with a nearly rectangular plan, designed in a classical style. It is constructed of coursed sandstone, featuring a painted base course, an eaves course, paired mutuled timber eaves, and strip quoins.
The northwest elevation, which serves as the entrance, includes a pedimented square anta-pier porch at the central bay, with a timber door and a single window directly above it on the first floor. The ground floor has tripartite windows in the flanking bays, with the right bay being advanced and topped with a pedimented gable. The first floor features single windows.
The southwest, northeast, and southeast elevations were not visible in 1999.
The villa predominantly has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, a slate roof, paired mutuled timber eaves, a coped pitch stack, and circular cans. It also has cast-iron rainwater goods.
The interior was not seen in 1999.
The property includes square-plan painted gatepiers to the left, marking the entrance for vehicles and pedestrians, and a coped boundary wall that encloses the site.
