Description
This is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house that is part of a terrace on Charlotte Street in Ayr. The building is constructed of painted coursed sandstone and features a base course, eaves course, cornice, and blocking course, with painted margins around the window openings.
The northern elevation, which is the entrance side, has steps leading up to a central entrance that is square-headed and cavetto-splayed. It includes a two-leaf timber door with a letterbox fanlight above, and there is a single window aligned above on the first floor. The flanking bays have regular fenestration.
The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slate and has coped gablehead stacks, with the stack on the left being higher. There are also circular cans present.
The interior was not seen in 1998.
