Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay L-plan house with classical front. Coursed stugged cream sandstone, rubble to sides and rear; ashlar dressings.

S (FRONT) ELEVATION: base course; regular fenestration; raised margins and bracketed cills; quoin strips; block dentilled cornice. At centre, Tuscan Doric pilastered doorpiece with similar heavy cornice; panelled door with 12-pane rectangular fanlight. Later flat-roofed single storey rendered bay to right, with bipartite timber window.

W ELEVATION: windows to left to both floors, and to right in gablehead. N (REAR) ELEVATION: large piend-roofed projecting bay to left, with window at 1st floor.

E ELEVATION: harled gable end.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slates; ashlar coped skews; rebuilt brick apex stacks, 1 rendered with vestigial ashlar base.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low ashlar coped rubble front wall; rubble walls to sides and rear.
