Description

44 Bridge Street in Kelso is an early 19th-century building that was altered around 1873. It features four bays and three storeys. The ground floor has shops with an Ionic pilastrade added around 1873, although the right-hand shop has lost some of its detail. The upper floors are pebble-dashed and have rendered pilaster strips on the sides, along with rendered cill-courses and margins. The original windows are 12-pane double sash glazing. The roof is slated and includes two piended attic dormers, with rendered stacks.
