Description
21 Bridge Street in Kelso is a building dated 1872, originally designed as a pair of shops but now functioning as a single shop. The structure is two stories high and has three bays. The former shop door on the left has been converted into a window. The central door and the door to the right are flanked by cast-iron Ionic pilasters. Above, there is a continuous cast-iron fascia with a balustraded parapet. On the first floor, there are a pair of bipartite windows that flank a date panel. The building is constructed of painted coursed squared rubble, featuring block eaves-course quoins and architraves. The roof is slated, with straight skews and rendered stacks.
