Description
This is a single-storey polygonal lodge built around 1820, located at Pinnaclehill on Sprouston Road in Kelso. The lodge features a central projecting portico supported by pilasters and has canted angles with round-headed windows. The flanks of the building rise to gablets, which are topped with octagonal coped end stacks. The exterior is constructed with painted coursers and polished dressings, and it has a piended slated roof.
At the rear, there is an extended long single-storey wing that matches the original style, featuring a canted bay at one end and a rectangular cornice stack at the ridge. The gate-piers are made of octagonal polished ashlar, adorned with cornices and quadrant die walls. The railings and gates have been removed.
