Description
Newhaven Cottage is a later 19th-century house with later additions and alterations. It is a single-storey building with an attic and has three bays, positioned at the eastern end of a terrace on sloping ground. The exterior is constructed of rubble with cement-rendered margins.
On the north elevation facing South Street, the three-bay arrangement has the outer left side blank, with a window located in the ground floor of the bay to the right. The south elevation features a modern panelled door in the centre, with a window in each of the flanking bays. There is a dormer in the bay to the right that breaks the eaves.
The windows are plate glass uPVC sash and case. There are modern skylights in the left bay. The roof is slate, with a brick stack and scroll skewputts at the eastern gable.
The interior was not seen in 1995.
