Hillview, Main Street, Gavinton

Hillview is a later 19th century, two-storey, three-bay terraced house that has undergone some alterations. The exterior is harled and features cills.

On the north elevation, there is a two-leaf boarded door with a letterbox and a plate glass fanlight in the center. Each flanking bay has a window on both floors that breaks the eaves and is gabled.

The south elevation was not fully visible in 1995, but it includes windows in the flanking bays at the first floor, which are gabled and break the eaves, as well as a later bipartite window in the bay to the left.

The windows are timber sash and case, with six panes in the upper section and two panes in the lower section. The house has a slate roof and brick chimney stacks.

The interior was not seen in 1995.
