Description

Dated 1897. 2-storey, 3-bay house, terminating terrace (projecting to E). Stugged squared and coursed sandstone to N elevation; sandstone rubble E and S elevations, droved ashlar dressings to all elevations. Base, band and eaves course.

N (NORTH STREET) ELEVATION: panelled door, 2-pane rectangular fanlight above to centre, in slightly advanced doorpiece with name carved to lintel; window at 1st floor above breaking eaves, 1897 carved to lintel, gabled with ashlar finial. Window to each floor of flanking bays, breaking eaves at 1st floor, as at bay to centre.

S ELEVATION: irregular distribution of bays, with window at ground right of centre. Glazed door at ground of bay to right with window breaking eaves and gabled at 1st floor. Small window at ground, bay to left with window at 1st floor above breaking eaves and gabled (not aligned to ground). Projecting single storey shed to outer left. SE corner canted and corbelled out to square at 1st floor.

6-pane upper and plate glass lower timber sash and case windows. Slate roof with scroll skewputts; brick stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1995.
