Description
Edenside, located on South Street in Gavinton, is an earlier 19th-century building with later additions and alterations. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure that forms part of a terrace and is situated on a slope that falls to the east. The exterior is constructed of rubble with cement-rendered margins.
On the north elevation facing South Street, there is a small window at the eaves in the center, a window at ground level in the left bay, and a dormer window in the right bay that breaks the eaves. The south elevation features a central door with a modern lean-to addition or porch. There is a ground-level window in the left bay and another ground-level window in the right bay, with a window at the first floor that breaks the eaves.
The north elevation has plate glass uPVC sash and case windows, while the south elevation features timber windows with upper hoppers. There are modern skylights in the left bay of the south elevation. The roof is slate, and there are brick stacks at each gable end.
The interior was not seen in 1995.
