Description
Abbey View, located on Buccleuch Street in Melrose, is a two-storey building dating from around the 1840s. It features three bays and is harled with rendered margins and quoins. The ground floor has a modern shop occupying the left bay, while the right bay retains its original window. The entrance to the house is now located at the side. On the first floor, there are three windows. The building has a piended slated roof with rectangular harled end stacks; the left stack has a cavetto cornice, while the right-hand stack has been rebuilt. Additionally, there is a poor-quality single-storey harled modern addition to the west.
