Description
A Dalgetty And Sons, located on High Street in Melrose, is a mid-19th century building. It is two stories tall with an attic and features four bays. The exterior is constructed from stugged ashlar with polished dressings, while the ground floor is painted. To the right, there is an original three-bay shop with entrance doors that are paired in a projecting corniced bay. The right-hand bay on the first floor has a later timber oriel. The building has a block eaves course and three gabled dormers in the attic. The roof is slated with straight skews and has rectangular coped end stacks.
