Description

Braidwood, located on Buccleuch Street in Melrose, dates from around the 1830s. This two-storey building with an attic features three bays and is harled, with ashlar cills and a corniced architrave above the central door. The roof is slated and has straight skews, with rectangular end-stacks that have cavetto cornices. At the attic level, there are two partly recessed segmental-headed dormers, and the original windows are 12-pane double-sash glazing.
